Compare Unemploy
Five ways an employer handles unemployment claims, by price, by scope, and by who actually does the work.
| Route | Published price | Scope | Who does the work |
|---|---|---|---|
| Unemploy | Per employee per year. The audit is free. | Claims response, hearings, and a full benefit-charge audit | AI agents. You approve each filing before it goes out. |
| USC | Not published, quoted after a free Exposure Review | Same three things, built for multi-state enterprise | Its own staff. USC states “USC receives the notice. USC files the response.” |
| Equifax Workforce Solutions | Not published, contact only | Unemployment cost management, plus a case-management platform | A stated “Dedicated Operations Team of around 500 individuals” |
| In-house specialist | A salary, regardless of claim volume | Whatever the hire’s time covers | One person, who also takes holidays and leaves |
| Doing nothing | Free | Charges post unaudited; qualifying relief goes unclaimed | The notice sits in an inbox until the window shuts. |
Unemploy vs USC goes head to head against the closest enterprise competitor, and Unemploy alternatives covers all four routes in prose for a buyer who has decided against Unemploy specifically.
The difference the price column does not show
The incumbents sell people-hours. Equifax publishes the headcount of its unemployment operation on its own page, and USC describes an operation that receives the notice and files the response for you. Both are real services and both are priced like services.
Unemploy runs the same work with AI agents. One reads the notice and puts it on its state’s clock. One computes the due date from a rules table that carries the page every row was read off. One walks every open window every thirty minutes. One asks your manager the question set for that separation type. One drafts the response from the answers. One reads back what the state decided. You read the draft and press send. That one step is the only place a person is required.
What stays true regardless of the route chosen
A benefit charge only stays on the account if nobody checks it against the state’s own relief grounds. The ledger a real charge audit produces shows what that check actually looks like, line by line.
Every competitor claim above is quoted from that company’s own page, read 5 September 2026, and linked in full on the two pages named above. Unemploy is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Back to home
